The short version
FoodTruckBattery.Com (“we”, “us”) provides a free educational power calculator for food truck operators. The calculator is meant to help you ask better questions when shopping for a battery and inverter system. It is not engineering certification, not legal advice, and not a substitute for a qualified electrician or installer. By using the site you agree to the terms below.
What the calculator is
- An estimator that combines the equipment you list, your shift hours, and our duty-cycle assumptions to produce a daily kWh and peak/inverter kW figure.
- A pointer to certified system options from the vendors we have researched (currently Signature Solar and BigBattery).
- A spec sheet you can take to any vendor to ask better questions.
What the calculator is not
- It is not an engineering stamp or a substitute for a licensed electrician.
- It does not certify any specific battery, inverter, or installation.
- It does not replace your local fire marshal, health department, or insurance carrier’s requirements.
- It does not guarantee the prices, availability, or specifications of vendor products. Vendor pages change; verify on the vendor site.
Affiliate disclosure
FoodTruckBattery.Com participates in affiliate programs with Signature Solar and BigBattery. When you click an outbound link to a vendor and make a purchase, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. We disclose this here, on the calculator results page, and in the spec-sheet email. We only recommend products that match the calculator’s output and meet the certifications described on our Certifications page.
Acceptable use
- You may use the calculator for your own business or for evaluating equipment for a friend or client.
- You may not use automated tools to mass-submit fake calculations or lead-form submissions, attempt to access admin endpoints, or interfere with other users.
- You may not republish the calculator output as if it were authored by another party.
Accuracy
We work hard to keep equipment data, vendor specs, and certification information accurate, but we make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about completeness, accuracy, reliability, or suitability for a particular purpose. The calculator output is an estimate. Real-world performance depends on installation quality, ambient temperature, equipment age, and operator behavior — among many other factors.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, FoodTruckBattery.Com is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the site or the calculator output. You use the site at your own risk. Your only remedy if you are unhappy with the site is to stop using it.
Third-party links
The site links to third-party vendors, manuals, and reference documents. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be summarized at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
